Supporting the parish and beyond

At St George's we recognise our Christian calling to love our neighbours, and the Church of England's commitment to pastoral care for all in the parish.

The Coffee Shop which meets every Wednesday morning in the Memorial Hall was started meny years ago by church members.  It continues to provide a good place to meet friends, where anyone and everyone is welcomed.  From time  to time, there are special events.

Benenden's Community Shop has been an initiative warmly welcomed by St George's and volunteers include many church members; barristas include the Rector!  Website.

The Weald Hub is a project offering counselling to young people facing mental ill health, and support for families; it is led by Goudhurst Church on behalf of churches in the Weald and we are committed to involvement with it. Read more here.
